Hard maze
Hard means the corridors stop being polite. More forks, more “why did I turn left,” still one honest exit. Dead end? Turn around. Don’t blame the wall.
Easy is for warm-ups. Impossible can wait until you’re annoyed on purpose.
When
When to use
You typed hard. You’re bored of postcard mazes. You want a longer stare before the exit.
When not
When not to
Absolute first maze ever → try easy. You wanted a printable pack of “hard mazes #1–#99” from 2008 → we generate fresh instead.
Defaults
Assumptions
This URL forces a hard preset (bigger grid / meaner branching — product truth, not marketing adjectives). Perfect maze still has a solution. Timer optional; pride optional.
Steps
How
- Land here; preset should already feel thicker.
- Walk. Mark mentally or use Show path if you must.
- Stuck forever → how to solve. Or Show path and own the shame.
Worked notes
Examples
- You cleared easy in a minute and felt smug → hard exists for that feeling
- Old sites showed one static GIF → New maze makes another hard one
Watch-outs
Gotchas
- Hard ≠ unsolvable. If there’s no exit, that’s a bug, yell at us.
- We still owe a real denser maze, not a renamed easy.
- “Hardest maze in the world” clickbait is theater. We do hard, not mythology.

FAQ
Common questions
- Are the rules different from easy?
- Same walk — arrows, swipe, find the exit. The layout is just meaner.
- Can I print this hard maze?
- Yes. Use Print when you want it on paper.
- Is there a hint?
- Show path will draw the route. Use it when you’re stuck; skip it when you’re bragging.
- Why does hard get its own page?
- Because “hard maze” is what people type when a medium grid already feels too polite.
